What you require is the following:
- A4 paper that is blank Colors (crayons, sketch pens, or watercolors) (crayons, sketch pens or watercolors)
- A pen for ink.
- An ejector.
Step By Step Butterfly Drawing For Kids
Draw a circle:
- Draw a circle on the top half of your drawing paper to begin. The head and face of your butterfly will resemble this.
A stretched oval should be used to join the circle:
- Starting from the bottom of the circle, draw an oval shape that stretches downward and tapers at the bottom. Make sure the oval lands on the bottom of the circle. This is what the butterfly’s body is made of.
The body should have two curved lines:
- Draw two curved lines on the butterfly’s body that are equally spaced apart, as shown in the illustration. This picture displays the butterfly’s abdomen.
Make a smiling face:
- Add two tiny circles for the butterfly’s eyes and a curved line for its mouth to make a smiley (the circle drawn in Step 1).
Draw two lines on the end of the head:
- Draw the butterfly’s antennae as two curved lines spiraling out in opposite directions, as shown in the figure.
Draw two circles, one on each side of the butterfly’s body:
- Create two rings, one of which should be around the butterfly’s body. These rings reveal the butterfly’s front wings. Use the curved contours of the abdomen as a guide for the most exact shape.
The bottom of each wing should be curled:
- The lower curve of the butterfly’s body should be connected by a curve to the bottom curve of each wing. These are the butterfly’s hind wings.
Draw curves from the lines on the abdomen:
- By connecting the two curved lines on the abdomen, as shown in the illustration, draw a curve inside each forewing.
Draw two curved lines at the bottom of the body:
- Starting at the junction of the butterfly’s body and its hind wings, draw a curved line on either side, pointing away from one another. Draw a tiny circle at the end of each of these lines. These lines represent the butterfly’s legs.
Circles should be drawn through the center of each forewing:
- As shown in the illustration below, draw two concentric circles that touch in the middle of each forewing.
Make very tiny circles on the forewings:
- Draw three little circles on either side of the outermost part of the forewings.
- Now that you have all your paints ready paint the butterfly in any colors you like.
