Whether you’re a fan of 123 movies sonic 2 the Hedgehog or not, you’ll have to admit that the newest installment of the franchise has been a pretty awesome ride. It’s got a fun storyline, great characters, and it looks fantastic. But it also has some glaring flaws. For starters, it’s a bit too slow. You’ll notice that Knuckles doesn’t save Tails right away when he’s hurt. This leads to him mocking Robotnik, who is supposed to be a rescuer of injured people. Ultimately, this means that the entire movie is just a bit too slow.
The human subplot in Sonic 2 is a very weak part of the movie. In fact, it’s one of the strangest parts.
The human subplot is a major distraction and serves no real purpose. It takes on the ’90s film level of goofy comedy and is completely unnecessary.
The Rachel subplot is another example of an unnecessary subplot. While there’s a trite emotional moment, it’s nowhere near the film’s most important plot points.
On the plus side, the movie makes use of Tails’ social alienation. The fox from Sonic’s home planet shows up as an ally and joins Sonic in their quest to find the chaos emerald before Robotnik can get it.
Sonic’s parents, Tom and Maddie, go to Hawaii for Rachel’s wedding. They bring along Sonic’s friend Tails. But Tails is a fox, not a hedgehog. This leads to a silly dance battle, set to the “Uptown Funk” soundtrack, which features a very un-Sonic-like performance from Tails.
Knuckles mocks Robotnik for saving wounded Tails instead of the compass
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the second film in the franchise. The sequel continues the story of Sonic and Tails, and it also gives us a better look at the Echidna Clan.
In the opening scene, Robotnik licks Sonic’s quill. But he gets zapped twice. He also tries to hack Sonic’s phone, but is stopped by Sonic.
Robotnik then returns to his house, which is also the site of his first attack. When he returns, Ozzie becomes hostile. There’s a threat to the public, and Sonic isn’t sure whether to let the situation go.
After he catches up to Robotnik, he decides to work with Knuckles. They fight in a battle that began before either one of them was born. However, this generational trauma turns Sonic and Knuckles into a team of protective fighters.
Despite the threats of Eggman and Robotnik, Sonic still has a lot of fun. He even gets some sleep cute moments. And the finale is a great one.

The sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2 is an adventure that travels from planet to planet. It has plenty of heart and a great cast. But there are also many formulaic tropes. Nevertheless, the film is still worth watching and is the perfect sequel for fans of the original.
