Salama Series: A Brief Introduction:
There are a number of core subjects taught in UAE schools as part of the Salama Series. As Abu Dhabi’s first government school for girls, it is named after Salama bint Butti School. Arab language classes, Islamic education, social studies classes, math classes, physical education classes, and science classes are included.

According To The MoE Curriculum,
Schools will be able to teach Arabic Language, Islamic Education, Social Studies, and Moral Education separately in the first cycle (from first to fourth grade) instead of the Salama Series integrated curriculum.
In order to evaluate the integrated curriculum, an academic committee composed of education experts and specialists from several UAE universities, including the United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, the University of Sharjah, Birmingham University Dubai, and the Khalifa Award were involved. Integrated curriculums have been thoroughly evaluated by the committee to ensure alignment with the educational community’s demands, the UAE’s educational strategy, and international best practices.

Committee members discussed the curriculum’s guiding principles, delivery methods, and strategies for enhancing it. The MoE was provided with a comprehensive report, including recommendations for long-term and medium-term curriculum enhancements. EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS:
Arabic Language, Islamic Education, Social Studies, and Moral Education can be taught separately in public and private schools that follow the MoE curriculum. In The First Cycle (From First To Fourth Grade),
Public and private schools following the MoE curriculum can now choose to use the integrated “Salama Series” or to use the MoE’s curriculum as separate subjects in Arabic Language, Islamic Education, Social Studies, and Moral Education. In addition to an in-depth study conducted by the Ministry of Education, a national academic committee comprised of education experts evaluated the integrated curriculum to ensure it met the demands of the education community and the UAE’s educational strategy. Composition Of The National Committee:
By December 2022, the MoE had established the national academic committee. There were education experts and specialists on the committee from the United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, the University of Sharjah, and the University of Birmingham Dubai.
A number of meetings were held by the committee over a three-month period. During the meeting, members discussed international perceptions of curriculum design, reading instruction, and ensuring optimal educational outcomes. In this study, the focus was on the guiding principles of the curriculum, the delivery mechanisms, as well as strategies for improving it to achieve its goals. As part of its report, the committee made long-term and medium-term recommendations for improving the curriculum.

- Through the Competitive Research Funding initiative, higher education institutions will collaborate with the private sector to fund research in vital sectors.
