The Procedure for Evaluating the Performance of Our Selected Chairs
Seating comfort was evaluated for 34 different common brands of office chairs by a team of 10 users at BTOD over the course of a period of six weeks. After spending a total of four hours working in each chair, the participants rated the chairs based not just on how comfortable the seats were but also on how well they performed in a number of other areas. After that, we used the average of all of these rankings to determine how comfortable each chair was overall. This list includes the top seven most comfortable chairs rated for their seats.
Next Chair
Only two of our testers gave the Next Chair a score of 70 or below; the rest of the ratings were either 80 or above. This makes it the bench that garnered the greatest overall rating out of the bunch. One of the comments that is made the most often regarding the backrest is how cozy and supportive the natural curvature of the backrest is. The several changes that may be made to the backrest were another element that received positive feedback. These modifications ranged from a lumbar tension knob to a lumbar that could be raised or lowered in height. Users who are uncomfortable with the way the term “lumbar support” is spoken have said that they advocate getting rid of the height-adjustable lumbar system.
Eurotech Vera
In this year’s evaluations, the product that used to hold the top spot on our list for back comfort moved down to the second slot. If you like the look of mesh, you’ll be happy to know that the Eurotech Vera has been ranked as the most comfortable mesh backrest that we’ve examined to this point. One of the most prominent characteristics of this chair is the natural curvature of the backrest, which provides excellent lower back support without the need for a separate lumbar support system. Even consumers who don’t like mesh said that the lower lumbar area of the Vera was pleasant for them to sit on.
