In the same age group, Coach was also the most preferred brand for men in 2015. A 2017 study by LVMH (a company that owns Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Givenchy) found that “Coach bags are perceived as the most valuable luxury goods in the world”.
The study also revealed that there is a strong correlation between the popularity of a particular brand and its sales.
Coach has been described as a “trendsetter” in the world Purses for women of fashion. In September 2016, the New York Times wrote that Coach’s success in the fashion industry was attributed to their ability to “tap into consumers’ desire to look good, but not at the expense of comfort.”
This is said to be in contrast with other brands, which the paper says “have traditionally focused on quality and luxury”.
