Joe Rogan – Professional Career

After quitting kickboxing, he went on to start a comedy career. He liked stand-up comedy, so his pals talked him into trying it. Joe then began to get ready for it.

On August 27, 1988, he made his stage debut at the Stitches Comedy Club in Boston during an open-mic night. After that, Joe worked at strip joints and bachelor parties. Throughout the first six months of Joe’s existence, he resided with his grandfather after moving to New York City in 1990.

He was a full-time comic there as well. Then, she relocated to Los Angeles. In 1994, Joe had his debut appearance on television on the MTV comedy programme “Half-Hour Comedy Hour.” His initial appearance on television gave him access to various networks.

Joe even covered the cost of the venue’s new sound equipment. He played Joe Garelli, an electrician and handyman at the fake news radio station featured in the NBC sitcom NewsRadio, from 1995 to 1999. Regrettably, as he grew close to the late Phil Hartman, his career as a comic faltered.
After that, he had to cancel every performance. After that, Joe worked on the “Overseas” show’s pilot.

Joe then started working as a backstage and post-fight interviewer for the mixed martial arts organisation Ultimate Fighting Championship. After two years, Joe stopped attending because he couldn’t afford to get there. In 2001, Dana White, the UFC’s new president, made him an offer to work as a colour analyst.

Joe Rogan Personal Life

In 2009, Rogan wed Jessica Ditzel, a formerly employed cocktail server. Their two daughters, born in 2008 and 2010, are their only children. Also, Ditzel’s daughter from a prior relationship has Rogan as her stepfather. They relocated to Gold Hill, Colorado in 2008 but four months later, after Ditzel fell pregnant, they moved back to Southern California.

Rogan has been intermittently residing in Bell Canyon, California, since 2003 when they moved there. They spent over $5 million for a brand-new house in the neighbourhood in 2018. The household relocated to a $14 million house on Lake Austin in Austin, Texas, in 2020.

As a result of watching Royce Gracie compete at UFC 2: No Way Out in 1994, Rogan developed an interest in jiu-jitsu. He started learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 1996 at Carlson Gracie’s academy in Hollywood, California. He holds black belts in both gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Jean Jacques Machado and Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, a kind of no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Rogan’s hands and feet have vitiligo. He went to Catholic school in first grade and was raised Catholic, but he no longer practises any organised religion and now identifies as an agnostic. Even though he has never met them, he announced in October 2019 that he is Gerard Way and Mikey Way’s first cousin once removed.

Rogan adopted a carnivore diet in January 2020, subsisting solely on beef, elk, eggs, and nutritional supplements including amino acids and fish oil. As a result, he claimed to have shed 12 lbs (5.4 kg), had more energy, and been freed from some old health problems. He acknowledged, nevertheless, that the diet had a deleterious effect on his digestive tract. He adopted a “meat and fruit” diet for the entire month of January 2022. He claimed to have attempted vegetarianism in the past but it did not work for him.

Joe Rogan Early Life

On August 11, 1967, Joseph James Rogan was born in Newark, New Jersey. He had one Irish grandparent, while his three other grandparents were all of the Italian descent. When he was five years old, his parents got divorced, and he hasn’t spoken to his father since he was seven.

He said, “All I can recollect of my father are these terrible, fleeting glimpses of domestic abuse. But, I don’t wish to lament my upbringing. I never actually experienced any negative events. I don’t despise the man.” He went to San Francisco, California, with his mother when he was seven years old.

They relocated to Gainesville, Florida, when he was eleven. They eventually made their home in Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts, where he attended Newton South High School and graduated in 1985.

Rogan played Little League baseball and became interested in martial arts when he was a young adolescent. He added that as a boy, he was “terrified of being a loser” and that martial arts had given him not only confidence but also a new perspective on who he was and what he was capable of. I was confident that I could do an extremely challenging task that had previously given me the willies. For me, that was very important. The first thing that ever gave me hope that I wasn’t going to be a loser was martial arts.

I naturally attracted towards it as a result. He started taekwondo a year after learning karate when he was 14 years old. He won the lightweight division of the US Open Taekwondo Championship when he was 19 years old. He won the full-contact state championship in Massachusetts for four straight years before turning pro in taekwondo.

He also competed in amateur kickboxing, finishing with a 2-1 record, but gave up the sport at age 21 due to headaches that had started to become more common and concern that he would suffer severe injuries. He enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Boston but left before finishing because he thought it was pointless. At the age of 24, he moved away from the Boston area.
