Bhabhi ji ghar par hain! BGPH sometimes abbreviated, is an Indian Hindi sitcom that premiered on 2 March 2015 on &TV and is available digitally on ZEE5. The series is produced by Binaifer Kohli of Edit II Productions.
This comedy show revolves around two neighboring couples, Mishra and Tiwari. In this drama, husbands fall for each other’s wives and try various, ultimately unsuccessful, hilarious tricks to impress them.

Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain – Plot
The show is set in the fictional “Modern Colony” located in Kanpur and revolves around two neighboring couples. Husbands Vibhutinarayan Mishra and Manmohan Tiwari have been married for 7 years, they are fed up with their married life and they don’t know each other as they are in love with someone else’s wife. Manmohan Tiwari is a successful lingerie salesman and his wife, Anguri Tiwari, is a simple and naive housewife.
Their neighbor Vibhutinarayan Mishra was once a failed insurance salesman and is now unemployed. Often referred to as “Nalla” (slang for unemployed), he spends most of his time doing housework. On the other hand, his wife Anita Mishra is a headstrong, smart, and modern woman who teaches self-care courses. She is the head of her family and despises her husband’s unemployment and laziness.
Their house is across the street in the opposite direction Tiwari lives in house 6 and the owners live in house number 9. Tiwari has her own house while Mishra lives in a rented house owned by Anita’s uncle. Most of the stories take place in their homes. The characters also visit a nearby teahouse, “Gupta Tea Center”, where they mainly talk about their current lives and daily affairs. The two men drag each other down and cause trouble for each other as they devise schemes to impress each other’s wives (Anguri and Anita).

Aasif Sheikh is Vibhuti Narayan Mishra (Vibhu), an unfortunate insurance salesman. Anita’s husband, David’s nephew, and Helen’s son. He is in love with Anguri Tiwari, who is often referred to as “Nalla” due to his unemployment but is simple-minded. Although he is known for his highly educated background, he still does not hold a full-time job due to his pride. His plans to rescue Anguri usually fail due to her naivety and this puts him in dire situations.
He hates Manmohan Tiwari because he thinks Tiwari doesn’t deserve a wife like Anguri who puts him above everything else. He tried several times to humiliate Tiwari’s image in front of Anguri but to no avail. It claims to be the “Best Chhapra University”, but his uncle David Mishra has revealed that he bought a degree while attending the university.
Rohitash Gowd Manmohan Tiwari is a successful lingerie entrepreneur who is attracted to the modern and elegant Anita Mishra. He is Ramkali’s eldest son, Laddu’s elder brother, Anu’s nephew, and Anguri’s husband.
Vibhuti finds Tiwari’s business ashamed, so she calls him Kaccha-Baniyaan (a disrespectful word for underwear). Shilpa Shinde as Anguri Manmohan Tiwari (2015 – March 2016) – Shinde left the series after a dispute with series producer Binaifer Kohli and former head of the channel Vikas Gupta. Shubhangi Atre Puri (March 2016–Present) Anguri as Manmohan Tiwari is a traditional Indian housewife with a Bhojpuri accent who likes to wear Lehenga-style saris, sindoor, and mangal sutra. She is trusting, kind and innocent. She is Manmohan’s wife, Bhuri Lal’s daughter, and Puttan’s older sister.
She performs various superstitious rituals that her beloved mother-in-law tells her about from time to time, with amusing results.
Saumya Tandon as Anita Vibhuti Narayan Mishra (Annu) (2015-2020), an elegant modern woman teaching her self-care course in Kanpur. She also holds a black belt in karate and uses these skills in her self-defense. She is Danny’s daughter and Mark Shootermurg’s cousin. To fulfill her romantic fantasies, she makes Vibhuti constantly play various characters such as a thief, robber, college student, artist, robber, electrician, police officer, and many other characters, which angers him most of the time.
She has a good friendship with Anguri. She is hated by the Vibhuti family, especially Helen, and David. On August 21, 2020, Tandon revealed on her social media accounts that she had decided not to renew her contract and had left her show. Neha Pendse as Anita Vibhuti Narayan Mishra (Anu) (2021–2022), Pendse replaced Tandon in February 2021. Pendze left the show one year later in February 2022. Vidisha Srivastava replaced Pendse in March 2022.

It was developed and written in November 2014. After launching &pictures, ZEE Network launched a second channel under “&tv”, branded “&” network, scheduled for launch in March 2015. The channel’s initial lineup of content was announced in early 2015. It is billed as a light comedy sitcom with the inclusion of “Bhabiji…”.
All promotions were provided by ZEE. This is the channel trying to place “Bhabiji…” in the night with adult comedy shows.
Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain – Shooting
Shooting Bhabiji Gar Par Hein! Located in the city of Naigaon. October 2016 Movie star Sunny Leone performed in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! She came to the set. On the set, she used Anguri’s catchphrase “Sahi Pakde Hain”.
In March 2018, filming resumed after about an hour of convincing the crew that Anguri said the phrase literally and meant nothing vulgar. The entire cast and crew traveled to the seaside resort of Goa to celebrate the show’s third anniversary and filmed a full story sequence titled “Kanpur in Goa”.
